So… The time has come. The veil can be lifted, (OK so it kind of was in that you could pre-listen the tracks ahead of release). You can now grab yourself a copy of the entire ‘No Application’ EP HERE… and here’s the track-list:
1. No Application
2. Goldener Reiter (Joachim Witt cover, as far as I know the only version out there sang in English)
3. No Application (The Countach Remix) Spooky synth disco rework of the title track. Tasty.
4. Gone (The Viceroy Suite Remix) Ace dub of ‘Gone’, one of the tracks from the forthcoming LP, a sneak look ahead in bespoke remix form.
We head down to play in London THIS FRIDAY NOV 25th for ‘Friday Night Fist Fight’ and will be ‘joint headliners’ (I think that means second to last on but preserves our egos). The show is at The Old BLue Last and is Free Entry, with DJs and 4 bands playing, including gothic electro pop act ‘Age Of Consent’. Here’s the Facebook Event and the ‘real life’ event.
We have had some great support from BBC Introducing and there is a few things here for you to check out…
Last night our interview and 2 acoustic tracks we did for Sam Walker at BBC Introducing in Manchester were aired. We played ‘All in All’ and gave a worlds first airing, presuming drunken campfire massacres of the track don’t count, of ‘Long Way Down’ which will feature on the LP.
There’s also a fair bit of me not knowing the answers to simple questions, and making up the answers to others (concept album based on 80s/early 90s CGI kids fantasy game show ‘Knightmare’ anyone?) you can listen again HERE… about 25 minutes in.
The wonderful Tom Robinson, who I only recently realised was the same guy responsible for ’2 4 6 8 Motorway’ (tune) played ‘No Application’ on his BBC6 Music show on Saturday and gave us some kind words, you can listen again to that HERE… about 25 minutes in again (spooky).
We were also featured in the FREE DOWNLOAD podcast from the show, some really good stuff in there with us.
We were also filmed for BBC Manchester Introducing when we headlined for them at the Ruby Lounge… There’s a bit of an interview and the track we are playing is called ‘Holding On’. You may notice there seems to be a breakaway faction of my side parting that is hellbent on swapping sides. Didn’t notice on the night, clearly I was far too ‘In the Zone’. You can check that out HERE.
Also we have been featured on a fair few blogs, some of which are featured on Hype Machine. If you fancy heading over there and ‘Hearting’ us then feel free!
Ok, next stop London, see you Friday.
